Crispy Chikki (Peanuts
and Til ki chikki)
Chikki is a healthy, delicious traditional candy made
from dry fruits, coconut, and sugar. It can be eaten alone or with snacks and
is a perfect replacement for chocolates. This recipe uses sugar to make
crispier chikkis in easier way.
Ingredients
(Peanuts Chikki)
1.
Peanuts-100gram
2.
Sugar-200 gram
3.
Til-50 gram
4.
Ghee-2 tbsp.
How to prepare it.
1.
Roast Peanuts in a pan on medium flame for 4-5 minutes.
Stir constantly to prevent burning. Let roasted peanuts cool for 3-4 minutes. Remove
its skin while they are little warm and break them into halves.
2.
Roast till also in 2-3 minute on medium flame.
3.
Take 200 gram sugar in a heavy bottomed pan over
low flame and stir continuously when sugar dissolves and starts to turn light brown,
turn off the flame and add roasted peanuts, roasted til.
4.
Grease surface of kitchen platform or reverse
side of a big plate and a rolling pin(Belan)with ghee.
6.
Quickly roll the mixture flat using rolling pin
.keep its thickness around 1/3 inches.
7.
Make approx. 2 inch apart parallel horizontal
and vertical cuts with knife while spread is still hot.
8.
When cooled, break it into pieces and store in
airtight container and enjoy it whenever you like.

3.
Ghee-2 tbsp.
How to prepare it.
1.
Roast till in 2-3 minute on medium flame.
2.
Take 200 gram sugar in a heavy bottomed pan over
low flame and stir continuously when sugar dissolves and starts to turn light
brown, turn off the flame and add roasted til.
3.
Grease surface of kitchen platform or reverse
side of a big plate and a rolling pin (Belan) with ghee.
4.
Pour mixture over previously greased surface.
