Potato
Pancake
Potato pancake are made with eggs. Here is the egg less version of the
potato pancake. Good for breakfast or a snack or lunch or dinner, potato
pancake is a great at all times dish. The ingredients are few and the method is
simple.
So here we go and make some eggless potato pancakes.
Ingredients

Onion grated - 1

wheat flour or maida – 3 tbsp
4.
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp or to taste

water - 1/2 cup or as needed
7.
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
8.
Green chilly-1(finely chopped)
9.
Mixed Herb-1 tsp.(optional)
10.
Besan-3 tbsp.0r egg-2
11. Baking
soda(optional) - a small pinch
How to prepare it.
1. Peel the potato and grate it and add 2 glass of
water, after 10 min. drain the water from potato, wash it again with running
water, squeeze the water properly like this.
2. Add onion in the grated potatoes and mix
properly.
3. Take a bowl and add besan( or egg),Maida, black pepper,
red chilly powder, green chilly, mix herb, baking soda and water ,Mix properly.
4. Add the prepared mixture into the grated potato
and onion mixture, and mix properly.
5. Add salt and mix it.
6. Heat a frying pan / girdle or a nonstick pan /
tava. Keep the heat medium.
7. Add a tsp of oil and spread it on the pan.
8. Once the oil is heated, reduce the flame to low-medium,
Put 1 tbsp. of mixture in pan. Spread/flatten it evenly. Repeat the process to
make other pancakes.
9. Cook it for a minute on low medium flame. Flip
it carefully. Cook it for 3 minutes on low medium flame. Flip it again. Cook it
for another 1-2 minutes.
10. Once it turns golden brown from both sides, take
it out on kitchen towel.
11. Potato pan cake is ready; serve it with schezwan
chutney, tomato ketchup or green chutney.
