Mithapara (Shakkar
Para)
Shakkar para recipe – sweet, crispy yet melt in your mouth
textured, deep fried, grounded wheat flour biscuits.
Shakkar para is traditional snack recipe. It is usually made on
Diwali festival. These are crispy, sweet, melt in mouth and yummy snack that
you can have it any time. It is not necessary to have festival around.
Ingredients
1.
1 cup sugar
2.
1 cup water

Pinch of Salt
5.
White Flour(Maida) (150 gram)
6.
Sooji (Rava)(20gram)
How to prepare it.
1. Put
sugar, water and put them to boil.
2. Mix
well and wait till all the sugar dissolves.
3. Pour
ghee and let the syrup boil for 2 -3 mins on low flame.
4. Take
off the boiling syrup off the flame and pour it in a bowl and let it cool or you
also can take the sugar syrup of gulab jamun or rasogulla.
5. Add
pinch of salt, white flour, sooji and to make a soft kneaded dough.
6. Take
a portion of the dough and roll it into 2 'mm thick roti.
7. Cut
them into small square or diamond shaped pieces.
8. Deep
fry them till golden brown in color in medium flame.
9. Once
done, take them out on kitchen towel.
10. Cool
them and store them in air tight container
